I was blessed to have walked with Salli through her cancer journey. I remember in the beginning, she would call me and ask me "you survived this monster, tell me again how you did it". Little by little, she asked less about surviving cancer and more about her journey to be with Jesus. In the end, all that mattered was being able to attend Tammy's wedding. Mission accomplished!
A friend once told me: There is a ship that's leaving the harbor for a long voyage. As the ship breaks away from the dock, there are many people there crying and saying "goodbye". Yet, as it sails on, there is yet another harbor that awaits. At this harbor there are many people who are waving and greeting the ship. Those people are all saying "Welcome! We have missed you and we are happy that you are home".
Salli is home with Jesus now. I promised her I would look her up when I get to heaven.
Blessings to her and her family.
God bless you Teri and Zac and Tammi & Will. Your Mom always had a huge smile on her face and loved life.
One of her greatest accomplishments in life was her two beautiful daughters and two precious granddaughters.
She will be remembered for her zest. Although I can not be there physically with you at Mom's visitation/funeral....I am
thinking of you both and saying my prayers during this most difficult time.
As usual...your Mom left this world with a bang...the 4th of July! I know she was so proud to be able to see her Tammi get married to the most amazing man, Will. We who sat with Sally at the wedding were proud that she could be there for you even though she was in tremendous pain. Before the wedding Sally said to me that her Tammi was the most beautiful girl ever.
God bless you both...She will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Sallii's passing. She was a wonderful person and she will be truely missed. I am so very glad she was able to make it to Tammi's wedding. I think she held onto that and it probably helped her fight as long as she did. Such a courageous fight. My condolences to the beautiful daughters, grand-daughters and mother she left behind. She isn't suffering anymore.

I have a lot of good memories of Salli over the years since she became my neighbor back in 2001. We shared a lot of fun times and conversatons - she was such a strong gal all the way to the end. I am so happy she was able to share in Tammi's joyful day. She will be missed.

I remember Sally at Tammy's wedding as the free spirited person she is. She was remarkable at this event
as she pullled together all the strength she had to greet all the guests from table to table. I was the lucky
one who sat beside her. She was a "live wire" at her daughter's funeral, but probably was suffering from
her cancer too much to really let on to anyone.
I admired Sally for her strength and courage to make it to her daughter's wedding...even though all the
odds were against her. We had a nice chat and I took some pictures. She didn't want any photos of
the oxygen canula she wore. If there was a wake for Sally, she should be everyone's hero!
